Applications for the 2021-2022 School Year can be submitted beginning MARCH 1, 2021


Students living outside Green Local School District MUST complete this form annually




PLEASE NOTE:  Requests for Open Enrollment received AFTER March 31st will be reviewed.  Approvals or Denials will be communicated between June and August for requests received after the March 31st cutoff.



Proof of Residency is required for ALL NEW applications as well as RENEWAL applications if your residence has changed



Green Local School District offers open enrollment statewide, limited to maximum enrollment thresholds, in grades K-12. Applications are accepted between March 1 and March 31 for the upcoming school year.   Open enrollment applicants will be prioritized by the date their application was submitted with the assurance that native (home) students will not be displaced.  Students who have been previously admitted via inter-district open enrollment shall be given preference over all new applicants.  No applications will be accepted prior to March 1st.  Exceptions to the deadline may be made only with the permission of the Superintendent. 
All open enrollment applications will be acted upon and parents notified between May 1st and May 15th preceding the school year placement requested.  Parents will then have until May 31st to confirm or withdraw their request.  Parents must give an affirmative response to notice of acceptance by May 31st AND provide PROOF OF RESIDENCY (if applicable) or lose the attendance slot(s) for their child/children.  Approval of kindergarten applications will be done as class sizes are determined and no later than the opening of the coming school year.  This permits Green Local to assess the full potential impact of admission on its programs and services.
