Boys Basketball GPA Awards

The Smithville High School boys basketball team was one of five teams in the state of Ohio that received the Ohio HS Basketball Coaches Association award for academic teams. The grade points for nine members of the varsity team were averaged, with Smithville's team earning a 3.794 GPA. The award is sponsored by the Army National Guard.

1st Place

Mariah Beery, Grade 11 at the Wayne County Schools Career Center recently won first place at Business Professionals of America State Contest in Basic Office Procedures. Mariah then traveled to Orlando Florida May 8th-12th to compete in the National Business Professionals of America Conference and placed 1st in the nation in Basic Office Systems and Procedures.&nb

We enjoyed another year of success at Smithville Elementary with the Market Day grocery program for the 2012-2013 school year. We raised over $1150.00 .

Green Local Kindergarten Registration

Registration for youngsters who will be starting school in the Green Local Schools 2013/2014 kindergarten class will be held on Thursday, April 11.
