GMS/SHS Daily Announcements

Green Middle School

Forging Smithies for Success: Learning to be well-rounded, motivated, compassionate and knowledgeable leaders.

Do you know what a MINDSET is?  It is a habitual or mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations. What is your MINDSET for this week?  How can you change one thing to be more positive?

You can order your GMS yearbook online.  Check out the school’s website or the school’s FB page for the link.  They are $16 dollars.  Don’t miss out! You have until Tues., April 16th.  Time is running out.

Attention all 8th graders!  Are you a leader?  Are you interested in making a difference at Smithville High School?  Then please consider running for next year’s Student Council or Class Officer.  The SHS Student Council plans activities like homecoming, blood drive, and prom promise.  SHS Class Officers are responsible for raising money for and planning prom and graduation.  If you are interested, then please pick up a packet in the office.  Information packets are available now in the Main Office.  When you pick up a packet, please sign up for the organization that you are interested in running for.  Then follow all directions within the packet.  All forms are due by Friday, May 10.  Elections will be held during the week of May 20th.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Myers.  Thanks!

During the weekend of May 10th, 11th & 12th your GMS Drama Club will be presenting James & The Giant Peach, the musical - A production based on one of Roald Dahl’s book.  Forget the horrible movie from 1996, our James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. Come support your fellow GMS & GES family and friends by coming to this exciting show! Tickets are $10.00 at the door or online at greenlocaldrama.com

Have a great day and be Smithie Proud and Smithie Kind!
