Spirit week is this week! Today is PJ day, Tuesday is twin day, Wednesday is wacky Wednesday where you get to be creative with what you wear. (you can wear a hat that day) Thursday is color wars- 8th grade is white, 7th grade is green and 6th grade is black. Friday is spirit day- wear your Smithie gear!!

Application forms will be passed out in WIN on Thursday. If you don’t have a WIN class, please pick up forms in the main office starting on Thursday.
Armando Christian Pérez, better known as Pitbull, is today's honoree for Hispanic Heritage Month. Pitbull is an American rapper and singer who was born in Miami, Florida on January 15, 1981. He started his career in the early 2000s in the genres reggaeton and Latin hip hop. Raised by his Cuban mother Alysha Acosta, Pitbull grew up with a love for music. After high school, he decided to fully engage in rapping. Pitbull is an influential rapper who is said to have blazed a trail for other young Hispanic pop artists. He is also an active supporter of the Imagínate (ee mah HEEN ah tay) Foundation, which provides resources for low-income families in the Miami area, and has even sent his private jet to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria to bring back cancer patients so they can be treated on the U.S. mainland. Being so influential, Pitbull has used his popularity for good and sets an example to all on how to help each other.
